Full Moon Falcon marks the fourth release on Berlin’s fast rising underground imprint Sisyphon.
Two original tracks by Sisyphos resident Fidelity Kastrow arrive with support by remixes from Thomas Schumacher, DJ Emerson and Sacha Robotti.
The title track Full Moon Falcon is filled with melodic elements and Heyoka constantly surprises with bombastic sounds and a disharmonic but eerily beautiful riff.
Both tracks showcase Fidelity Kastrow’s unique musical style: combining emotional, energetic, cathartic techno with melodic and melancholic intricate structures which routinely ignite the Hammahalle – Sisyphos’ cavernous Funktion One-filled dark beating heart. Fidelity Kastrow’s conjured up the same unruly forces on her debut techno release.
While Heyoka (named after »the sacred clown« in Lakota Native American folklore who breaks taboos, rules and regulations) combines driving, swirling, thunderous techno beats with chaotic melancholic, mirroring scenic synths, Full Moon Falcon soars upwards, building tension steadily before unravelling in a meltdown of twisted arpeggios.
On the remix front, Electric Ballroom main-man and German techno legend Thomas Schumacher delivers a magnificent techno reworking of Full Moon Falcon, cutting, pasting and combining Kastrow’s synths to create a truly epic techno monster.
Dirtybird producer Sacha Robotti delivers a peak-time floor filler oozing with energy and impact, emphasising
Full Moon Falcon’s arpeggios and layering them over driving, bouncy beats, while CLR uber-producer DJ Emerson takes Full Moon Falcon deeper and darker, merging pulsing pounding beats with ominous tech-noir FX and swirling synths, layering throbbing emotional chords over his trademark heart-thumping techno beats.
